Theme: OUR TIME IS NOW; OUR RIGHT OUR FUTURE.

Internation Day of the Girl Child (IDGC) is an annual and internationally recognized observance on October 11 that empowers girls and amplifies their voices. International Day of the Girl Child acknowledges the importance, power and potential of adolescent girls by encouraging the opening up of more opportunities for them. at the same time, this day is designated to eliminate gender-based challenges that little girls face around the world, including child marriage, poor learning opportunities, violence and discrimination.

YAWI celebrates 2022 IDGC with the outgoing students of United Missionary Comprehensive College, molete Ibadan. In her speech ( the Excutive Director of YAWI, Amb Adebobola Agbeja), she admonish the graduands to stay focus as they proceed to another phase of life. As the theme for 2022 IDGC implies: OUR TIME IS NOW; Our Right Our Future, it will be of great benefit to them if the time is being utilized judiciously.

The NGO also partnered with the Girls’ Brigade Nigeria, Oyo state division which took place at Scripture Union samonda Ibadan.
