To commemorate Menstrual Hygiene Day, The Young and Woman Initiative (YAWI) officially launched its Pad a Girl Campaign, reaffirming its commitment to promoting menstrual health, dignity, and access to safe menstrual hygiene products for girls and young women.
The campaign seeks to raise awareness about menstrual hygiene while addressing the challenges many girls face due to limited access to sanitary products and accurate menstrual health education. Through this initiative, YAWI continues to advocate for a future where no girl is disadvantaged because of her period.
Menstruation is a normal and natural part of life and should never be a source of shame or discrimination. Every girl deserves access to safe menstrual products, quality education, and a supportive environment where she can manage her menstrual health with confidence and dignity.
As part of the campaign, YAWI encourages individuals, organizations, and communities to join the movement by supporting menstrual health education, breaking the stigma surrounding menstruation, and ensuring that every girl has the resources she needs to thrive.
Together, we can create a world where periods never limit potential and every girl has the opportunity to learn, lead, and succeed.
Together, let’s break the stigma, promote dignity, and build a healthier future for every girl.
